LCFC.com has received a message of support for the players and manager from the Swedish Foxes.

Soren Filipsson from Hallsberg has been a fan since 1969 and would like to pass on the following:

"Nigel - keep up the good work, we have faith in you and think you have made Leicester a team that is highly respected again. To the Leicester City players - play with your heart and wear the Leicester shirt with pride."

Soren became a fan as Swedish television started broadcasting English League football. He fell in love with the Foxes when he saw them playing against Cardiff City, City's next opponents this Saturday. Although City lost the game, they put on an excellent performance and he has been a fan since, singling out Keith Weller, Martin O'Neill ('God'), Matt Elliott and ('Super-') Steve Claridge as his all-time favourites.

"Being a Leicester supporter hasn't always been easy, it is a rollercoaster ride! After being relegated to the third tier it was a fantastic effort to bounce back and the performance so far this season leaves nothing more to wish," he reflected on the season so far.

The Swede remains cautious when it comes to City's chances to finish higher than the play-off places: "I have very small hopes for automatic promotion but play-offs are almost certain, dare I think so, and if we make it to the play-offs, anything is possible... Premier League is not that far away!"

Being a City supporter abroad has its challenges though: "Back in the 60s through to the early 90s I followed Leicester on TV - not that they were on TV that often but it happened! Since the internet came into our lives it has become easier to follow the Foxes. I listen to live broadcasts with Foxes Player nearly every Saturday."

And supporting City runs in the family - his 21-year-old son Mikael is also a member of the Blue Army. The Hallsberg supporters club, Blue Army Sweden, has its own website, and our Scandinavian fans have been to the Walkers Stadium several times.

"Leicester is a very nice place, you can get anything you wish there, nice pubs with outstanding beer, good shopping and the best football team on earth -must say I feel at home in Leicester!" he says.
