City midfielder Richie Wellens believes Leicester's home form could hold the key in their race for the Championship play-offs.

Wellens returns from suspension to face his former club Doncaster Rovers at the Walkers Stadium tomorrow, before hosting Scunthorpe United on Saturday, and the midfielder says the Foxes are targeting a maximum return of six points out of six.

"If you can get wins at home, and nick a few wins away in a difficult league to go away, you'll be up there. At home; no disrespect to teams like Scunthorpe and Doncaster, we need to be looking at beating teams like that."

In City's last home game they produced an excellent performance to draw 0-0 with Championship leaders Newcastle United, despite playing without Wellens for over an hour after the midfielder was sent off for two bookable offences.

The game was played out in front of nearly 30,000 fans and Wellens believes a similar level of support could be crucial as Leicester aim to make the Walkers Stadium something of a fortress in the final nine home games.

"I thought they were brilliant against Newcastle, there was a great atmosphere and they kept behind the team. It was obviously difficult playing with ten men for an hour so, but the supporters realised that."

There are still tickets available for City's clash with Doncaster Rovers, and all children Under 12, will get free entry to the Walkers Stadium.
